As Arlington students head into summer break, children are looking forward to camps, playgrounds, pools, and time with friends. But for many families in our community, summer also means a new challenge: children who have outgrown last year’s shorts, swimsuits, and sneakers—and household budgets already stretched thin.

That’s where we come in. At The Clothesline, eligible children can shop at no cost in our year-round store and leave with clothing that helps them participate in summer activities, fit in with their peers, and simply focus on being kids. This season we expect to serve 1,300 children—providing them with a wardrobe that includes summer staples like shorts, tee shirts, swimwear, shoes, and more.

And right now, gifts are being matched dollar for dollar through our founders’ $10,000 matching fund.
