Other opportunities for volunteers this summer

News

In addition to our usual volunteer spots to sort clothes and assist clients, we have some other opportunities for our volunteers to get involved!

Sort n Suds – We need volunteers to pick up unclaimed lost and found at local schools, and deliver to us clean, sorted donations by the end of the summer. If you sign up for any schools, you will receive an email with instructions on sorting, laundering, and delivery, as well as getting community service hours. You can sign up here.

Arlington Cares – We are inviting our volunteers to attend the 2025 Arlington Cares event, which honors and recognizes individuals and groups who make a difference through volunteering at its annual Arlington Cares event. Also at this event, our very own Ben Sessions will be receiving the Distinguished County Service Award, so we’d love for you to join us in celebrating this well-earned recognition. You can RSVP to us here or directly with Arlington Cares.

Farmer’s Market Tent – We need volunteers to help us man tables at a couple of Farmer’s Markets this summer. We will be there to engage with the community and collect donations. Check out the dates and locations, and sign up here.

Ted Lasso Biscuit Fundraiser – If you’re looking for a fun gift idea (think Father’s Day, teacher gifts, etc), a volunteer is selling Ted Lasso-style biscuits to benefit The Clothesline. Pack of 4 shortbread type “Biscuits for the Boss” is $20. To order yours, order here for local pick up or delivery.

Keep Arlington Kids Cool This Summer – Please consider making a financial donation to help boost our inventory and ensure all of our clients get the clothes they need in the right size to feel comfortable and confident in the classroom and outside this summer! You can make your donation on our Network for Good fundraising site.
